About

I’ve always been passionate about the art of teaching and learning, understanding how the mind works, how we make meaning of the world, how we hold onto a sense of purpose and agency in the world. I’m drawn to field of metaphysics, the study of consciousness and holistic well-being, courageously embracing the mystical and transpersonal side of life. 

I hold a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Touro University International, a MS in Elementary Education from Lehman College and a BS in Secondary Education from New York University. I completed a MBSR training with Mindful Leader and became a certified Mindfulness Instructor at Círculo de Estudios para la Paz, Valencia, Spain. Certifications include: Leadership & Management of Humanitarian Action, Humanitarian Policy & Conflict Research Program from Fordham University, Human Subjects Research for Social & Behavioral Faculty, CITI, and Secondary Teaching Certificate in New York State.

A wide range of influences inform my coaching and training methods including: Zen Training (Sekida), Chögyam Trungpa, Kelsang Gyatso, Pema Chödrön, Daniel Siegel, Jon Kabat Zinn, Ken Wilber, Elizabeth Kübler Ross, David R. Hawkings, Eckhart Tolle, Joe Dispenza and Edgar Cayce. 

Over the course of my career, I’ve worked as a teacher, a curriculum designer, professional development specialist, instructional coach and oral historian. I’ve presented at conferences and have collaborated with dynamic teams for whole school reform nationally in the United States, Puerto Rico, and United Arab Emirates.

I am the mother of two exceptional young adults.
